“I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. (Isaiah 42: 16)
Anniversary Message
Two years ago, with fear mingled with faith, a group of us from Kenya, America and the Bahamas, gathered to launch a small church in Dago, Kenya- The Jesus Worship Center. The group consisted of many faithful servants of God, including Overseer Bishop Zephaniah Osok, his wife Pasca, Bishop Hamilton, Pastor Samuel, and many other Faithful Ministers and musicians who made up your ministerial team. The team from New Millennium Ministries included Rev. Dr. Dwarka Ramphal, his wife Rev. Rita Ramphal, Rev. Benjamin Cribb, Rev. Kenneth Lewis and his wife Lynette Lewis, celebrating with you on the opening of the Jesus Worship Center.
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. It is an honor and a joy to greet you today as we celebrate the second anniversary of this Church. Two years ago, God planted this beautiful seed, and today we stand together, stronger in faith, filled with hope, and ready for all that He has in store for us.
The past two years have not been without their challenges, but by God’s grace, we’ve overcome every obstacle. We’ve witnessed lives transformed, hearts healed, and many of us have grown in our relationship with Christ. Through prayer, dedication, and unwavering faith, this church has become a true beacon of light in this community. Let’s give thanks to God for His faithfulness, grace, strength and help for each of you who have contributed in every way, big or small, to the growth of this church and the success of each member. Because of your commitment, today we enjoy the fellowship of SEVEN churches in the Kisumu region, a comfortable relationship with Maseno University, and yes, by God’s grace we are marching to Uganda to tear down the strongholds of the enemy, because the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
As we look back, we have much to be thankful for. We've seen many souls come to Christ, with a number of baptisms over the past two years. Our community outreach programs have touched lives, whether through: Open air Meetings, Door to door visitations, Good community relationships, entrepreneurship grants, or funding education for school children, and we've watched this congregation grow in love and unity. All of this is a testimony to God's abundant blessings and your commitment to His mission.
As we enter our third year, I am filled with excitement for what lies ahead. Our mission is clear: to continue spreading the Gospel, serving our community, and growing deeper in our faith. We are not just a church, but a family. Let us continue to support one another, reach out to those in need, and remain steadfast in our love for Christ. The best is yet to come, and together, with God’s guidance, there is no limit to what we can achieve.
Thank you to each and every one of you who has made these two years possible and successful. Let us continue to walk in faith, knowing that God’s plans for us are greater than we can imagine. I look forward to seeing how He will continue to use this church to make an impact in this community and beyond. May God bless each one of you abundantly. Let’s stand together in faith for the journey ahead is great. Amen.
